Another golden page of AMV

2009-10-05. – The school received the result sheet of the Grade 5 scholarship exam.  18 students had passed the exam and it is the best result of the school history. It was because of the dedication of the primary teachers.

2009-10-16. – K.W. Sayani Tharika of grade 11 gave an honor to the school, wining the 1st place in the Mahapola oratory competition.

2009-10-22. – W.A. Danuka Sandaruwan of the school could win the 3rd place in 1500m race (under 16) in all island Athletic Meet. This victory made a great glory to the school and to Mr. Amila Hapugala the teacher in charge of sports.

2010-02-14. – A shramadana campaign was carried out in the school with the participation of Professor Piyadasa Rathnayaka the members of the Saga-Lanka Friendship Foundation and Saga-Lanka Yamashaki Kiyomi foundation to make the school environment and the school playground clean. I highly appreciate the participation of professor Kakubuchi, Mrs. Ikeda, Mr. Harda, other deligates, teachers, parents and the students for the Shramadana campaign. This campaign set an example to the school and to the community.

2010-02-15. – The open-air stage was donated to the school. Professor W.D. Lakshman, Professor Sampath, Professor Kakubuchi, Mrs. Ikeda from Saga-Lanka Friendship Foundation participated for this opening ceremony. Valuable microscopes for the Science laboratory, some sports instruments for the sports room also were donated.

2010-03-18. – It’s a great pleasure that our National Cadet Corps was able to win the 2nd place among the schools and qualified for the Herman Los Award competition under the guidance of the platoon commander Mr. Amila Hapugala.

2010-03-19. – G.H. Sameera Sandakalum of Grade 11 brought a glory to school presenting his invention and receiving a shield to the school.

2010-04-02. – Our school achieved the first place in the Inter club sport meet. I highly appreciate that both Best Men athlete and the best women athlete were selected from our school.

2010-07-17. – The following students were able to win the first place in the ‘Do you know contest’ in Mathematics subject in the Divisional and Zonal level.
